The Powerline Safety course is designed to raise awareness of the serious risks associated with working near overhead power lines and to provide practical guidance on how to reduce those risks.
This course explains why power lines are so dangerous, how accidents commonly occur, and what steps must be taken to plan work safely around them. Learners will explore minimum safe distances, safe working practices, and specific risks when passing underneath or working beneath overhead lines. The course also covers legal responsibilities and what to do in an emergency if something goes wrong.
By completing this course, learners will gain a clear understanding of how to identify powerline hazards, plan work safely, comply with legal requirements, and reduce the risk of serious injury or fatality when working near overhead power lines.
This training is suitable for anyone who may work near power lines, including contractors, construction workers, agricultural workers, grounds maintenance teams, and anyone involved in planning or supervising work near overhead electricity lines.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
